The reality is that technology is what our students have been born into and they do not realize a world without technology. As a teacher, I am continuing to search for ways students can elevate their 21st century skills through technology use and innovation.  Right now, there are too many students and teachers that have confined their definition of technology to an electronic device with a screen.  Some of these electronic devices include: iPads, iPods, and computers.  While these technology devices are important for student learning, there are many more ways for teachers to stimulate creativity by integrating technology opportunities beyond the screen.  By providing students opportunities to communicate, collaborate, create, problem-solve, think critically, and be flexible through the process, teachers can provide an opportunity for student growth as they intertwine technology into this subset of skills.
